«Unteres Gremm» residential development
In 2014, Mettler Entwickler AG acquired the site with the clear aim of building properties for a variety of residential uses in the heart of Teufen. The plots are subject to the neighbourhood planning requirements of the municipality of Teufen.
To realise this ambition, we held a project competition to develop a suitable design plan from the winning project for the municipal approval process in Teufen.
The project competition aimed to produce a high-quality project study for the development, infrastructure provision and outdoor space, with a particular focus on seamless integration into the local settlement structure and compliance with heritage preservation requirements. Nine apartment blocks of various sizes with spacious balconies will be built in «Unteres Gremm» by summer 2026. The architecture is an expert combination of traditional and modern elements, including clear geometry, a striking main façade facing the valley, flexible floor plans, a central hipped roof and a bright façade design.
